Blendle is the Netherlands’ biggest digital newsstand. Since the Netherlands is such a small country, we launched a beta version of our platform in the US two years ago, and we currently have 45,000 users eager to discover the world’s best journalism. At Blendle, we believe great journalism should be available to everyone, without any paywall hassle, clickbait, or annoying ads.
Are you interested in media, do you want to experience what working at a startup is like, and would you like to help our US users discover great stories every day?
Then we’re looking for you!
You’ll be working with our head editor to help select and recommend the very best stories from all of the newspapers and magazines in our newsstand (including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Vanity Fair, The New Yorker, The Economist… and many more!). The stories you recommend will become part of the Blendle Daily Digest, our daily newsletter, which you will also help write. It offers the best stories to our 45k beta users, getting them out of their “filter bubbles” while also offering personalized stories that suit their interests.
We’re looking for a part-time freelance editor, available for at least 6 months, with the occasional full week when our head editor is away. If you’re flexible with your availability, we hope to hear from you! You’ll work from home, or at our cool office in Utrecht, or a bit of both.
This is you:
